Honeymoon Trip of a Lifetime
The fun begins:
"Hi Bill, My name is Wanda. My niece is getting married and as a gift I am planning and paying for her honeymoon. They are a young couple both very fit, in fact they are body builders. They enjoy adventure and physical activity. I think they may enjoy your horseback tour as well. I would like each day to be a surprise with envelopes they open each morning! Can you please send me an idea of what you could put together for them?"
Bill: "Hi Wanda, How are you? So I've sat down and looked over your email, here is an idea for you to look over."
Oct 26th. Ill have a car pick them up and take them to our airbnb apartment next to the Plaza de Armas in Cusco. I'll give them our nice honeymoon suite, and it's really pretty there at the house.
Oct 27th The best way to see Moray, Maras, and the Salt mines is by four wheeler, so I've included this tour (people love it), it also includes a two kilometer zip line with some amazing views. Stay in Ollanta this night.
Oct 28th Machu Picchu I'll get them Huayna Picchu and the Vistadome train, also I'll include a private guide so they know what they're looking at, the train will come back in the afternoon giving them enough time to have a dinner in Cusco. They can stay at our apartment again as it's really nice and has a killer location. We will give them some good recommendations to eat.
Oct 29th I set them up with a really good ranch here, it's off the beaten path and you ride high into the mountains visiting forgotten Inca ruins, it's spectacular and only half day so they can spend some time in Cusco in the afternoon. Sleep in our apartment.
Oct 30th Free day Cusco to relax, there is tons to do, massages, visit Sacsayhuaman, Qorcha, Pumamarca, cooking classes, ruins, etc. They won't be bored plus they may want to sleep in and relax. Stay at our place.
Oct 31th We have an amazing bike ride, on road and dirt road, almost all downhill that passes through Andean villages and descends into cloud forest, it's a cultural tour and just amazing, I just took a couple on their honeymoon and they were super happy. I actually seem to set a lot of honeymooners up on their trips.
Nov 1st. I'll have driver take them to the airport. So there you have it, it's a great trip, obviously if you don't want them to do one of two of the tours please let me know. We can change the total. I can also send you some pics. The total including all I mentioned, all lodging, transports, trains, Machu Picchu with a guide, and the three tours came out to 2850 USD for the two of them. Let me know what you think. I hope this helps. Cheers
Wanda: Awwww, that's so sweet! OMG, I really hit the jackpot when I found you!! I will give them a honeymoon package before their trip (my wedding gift to them), so I just sorta need the details, like times they will need to be ready, and what to wear/take with them. If you can help me with that, I could send you like a calendar with what I know filled out and you could maybe fill in the details and send it back to me?

I planned a "surprise" honeymoon trip for a newlywed couple who wanted to visit Machu Picchu. They did not know what they were doing from one day to the next, and would open envelopes that led them to their next adventure. This type of trip, to be successful, requires a lot of planning. When I was planning it, I discovered Bill and Nicole and struck gold! They suggested an itinerary that was perfect! From a fabulous ATV/zip line tour to the salt mines, horseback riding to another site of ruins, and the penultimate bike ride from a mountaintop down through the clouds, they helped make this a honeymoon this couple will remember for a lifetime! As a travel planner, it is a great find to connect with someone who wants to help put smiles on your clients' faces. Bill and Nicole were fabulous and I highly recommend them to anyone thinking of a Machu Picchu adventure. They truly made it happen!
